The Head of Chesapeake Watershed Alliance, Inc. was formed with a mission to be an advocate for the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. The Alliance works to identify, prioritize, and address issues and problems in the head of the Chesapeake Bay watershed including water-quality monitoring, submerged aquatic vegetation surveys, stormwater management, and environmental education, which includes ecotourism opportunities and outreach to historically underserved communities.

We work with government agencies and other regional non-profit environmental organizations and academic institutions. Members of the Alliance are comprised of four non-profit organizations including the Deer Creek Watershed Association Inc., the Elk & North East Rivers Watershed Association, Inc. (ENERWA), The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum, Inc., and the Octoraro Watershed Association, Inc.
